Coming soon to the Meta Horizon Store

Privacy Policy · Twilight Hour

Effective date: October 17, 2026 · Developer: Prépa Finances Publiques · Contact: support@twilighthourvr.com

This policy explains what information the virtual reality game Twilight Hour (the “game”) for Meta Quest headsets and its website collect, how it is used, and how you can have it deleted. The game and this website are developed and managed by Prépa Finances Publiques (Vincent Bessot, entrepreneur individuel) (“we”, “us”).

In short: the game has no accounts of its own, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress stays on your headset, and so do the names you give your heroes. The only information the game sends is what Meta’s platform needs to confirm you own the game and to show your best scores on the game’s online leaderboards (Meta’s own software in the game also sends Meta technical data about itself: see section 2). This website sets no cookies.

1. Information stored on your headset

The game saves the following on your headset, in its private app storage:

  • your heroes: the name you give each hero, class, appearance, level, equipment, inventory, talents, story progress;
  • your settings (language, sound, comfort and display options, controls);
  • your local records in the Hollow Depths (best depth, hero name, hero class, date).

We never receive this information. It stays on the headset unless you use Meta’s own backup features (for example cloud backup of app data), which are governed by Meta’s privacy policy. The names you give your heroes are never sent to us, to Meta or to other players.

2. Information processed through the Meta Horizon platform

When the game runs on a Meta Quest headset, it uses the Meta Horizon Platform SDK for:

FeatureInformationWhy
Entitlement check (each time the game starts)Whether your Meta account owns the gameTo confirm the game was obtained from the Meta Horizon Store; if it was not, the game shows a message and closes
Your Meta accountYour Meta user ID and display name, as Meta provides themTo identify your entries and show your Meta display name next to your scores on the leaderboards
Online leaderboards (with an internet connection)Your best depth in the Hollow Depths and your hero’s class (warrior, archer or mage), linked to your Meta user ID, with the date Meta recordsTo rank your best runs against other players

This information is stored and processed by Meta Platforms on our behalf, under Meta’s privacy policy. Other players can see leaderboard entries: your Meta display name as Meta shows it, your depth, your hero’s class and the date. We can see the leaderboard entries through Meta’s developer tools; we do not receive your email address, your real name, your location, or any other account information.

Meta’s software also collects information under Meta’s own policies; we do not control or receive it. This includes Horizon OS and the Meta XR SDK the game is built with, which sends Meta technical data about how the SDK runs in the game. Meta’s data use policy for its SDKs gives examples of such data: identifiers of the device, the user or the project, the system’s basic configuration and operating system version, how often SDK features are used, and errors, crashes and loading times.

3. What we do not do

  • No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking services of our own or of third parties, other than the Meta XR SDK’s technical data described in section 2.
  • No text you type in the game (such as hero names) is uploaded or shown to other players.
  • No advertising, and no sale or sharing of personal information.
  • No voice chat, text chat, camera, microphone or location access.
  • No in-app purchases.

4. How long information is kept

Information on your headset is kept until you delete your heroes or uninstall the game. Leaderboard entries are kept for as long as the game’s leaderboards exist, unless you ask us to delete them.

5. Your choices and how to delete your information

  • On your headset: uninstall the game to delete all of its saved information (also delete its cloud backup in the headset’s settings if you use that feature).
  • Leaderboards: email us at support@twilighthourvr.com with the Meta display name shown on the leaderboard and ask for your entries to be deleted. We will remove them within 30 days and confirm by email.
  • Your Meta account: information held by Meta is managed through your Meta account settings and Meta’s privacy policy.

Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, under the GDPR), you may also have the right to access, correct, restrict or object to the processing of your information, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Contact us at support@twilighthourvr.com to exercise these rights.

6. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, contact us and we will delete it.

7. This website

  • No cookies, no tracking: this website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. Its fonts, images and scripts are served from the website itself.
  • The trailer: when the trailer is hosted on YouTube, nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. The player then loads from youtube-nocookie.com (YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode) and YouTube processes data under Google’s privacy policy.
  • Server logs: like every website, the server that hosts these pages records technical information about each request (IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, date and time) to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify or profile visitors.
  • Email: if you write to us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them once the matter is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

8. Changes to this policy

If the game or this website starts collecting new kinds of information (for example if an online co-op mode is added), we will update this policy before that version is released and change the effective date above.
